LASG to strengthen traffic management with more volunteers
The Lagos State Government has said it would engage more volunteers under its Special Traffic Mayors scheme to strengthen traffic management.
Spokesman, Ministry of Transportation,Sina Thorpe who announced this said the ministry would engage the volunteers in traffic control and management safety at a stakeholders’ forum slated for March 16.
Governor Babatunde Fashola had on Jan. 9, 2009 signed the LASTMA amended law that recognised Special Traffic Mayors.
The law describes the special traffic mayors as an integral part of the traffic management strategies of the state.
