NDLEA arrests woman for drug trafficking
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the arrest of a 40-year-old female suspect for alleged drug trafficking.
Its spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju, said in a statement that the suspect was arrested while attempting to export 13kg of methamphetamine to Congo through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
According to Ofoyeju, the drug was found in a sack concealed inside a bag containing some shirts.
He said the suspect had reportedly told the narcotic officers that the drug was fertiliser.
Ofoyeju quoted the NDLEA Airport Commander, Hamza Umar, as saying more people were connected with the export.
He said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
