9,000 policemen deployed for Cross River governorship poll
Cross River State Police Command is to deploy 9,000 personnel for Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
Police Commissioner Samson Wudah told newsmen in Calabar that police personnel from the state command will be 7, 469, while 1,531 mobile police contingents would come from Benue, Ebonyi and Akwa Ibom States.
Wudah said policemen have been patrolling various strategic locations in the state to ensure security during the election.
He urged youths to shun politicians who will try to entice them with money during the poll.
