JIDE ALLI-BALOGUN OF RADIO LAGOS/ EKOFM FOR HUMANITARIAN REPORTING AWARD.

The Rotary International District 9110 Nigeria is set to make history in the
Country with the introduction of an Award to recognize the efforts of journalists
who are reporting human angle stories.

About thirty journalists from both prints and electronic media have been
nominated for the award which is in Six Categories, among who is Babajide
Alli-Balogun of Lagos State Radio Service owners of Radio Lagos/ and
EkoFM.

Secretary of the Humanitarian Awards Committee, Deyemi Ogunkoya said the
maiden award ceremony is billed to hold tomorrow at the Rotary Center,
Ladoke Akintola Street, GRA Ikeja.

Ogunkoya said the Award, first of its kind not only in Nigeria but in the entire
West Africa shall have the Former Minister of Health and Chairman of Juli
Pharmarcy, Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi who is a Past Governor of Rotary in
Nigeria as Chairman of the event.

He said Doctor Jide Coker the National Coordinator of the Rollback malaria
project who is the Guest speaker will address the audience on the Affordable
Medicines Facility for Malaria Mechanism as an Humanitarian Programme
.
