The Lagos State Police Command has allayed the fears of residents that some unscrupulous elements, who specialise in turning human beings into goats, were on the prowl.
It said There is no iota of truth in the story going round the town that some human beings were turned into goats.
Command’s Spokesman,Frank Mba told newsmen in Ikeja that the public should disregarded such story.
Mba said at Igando-Iba Road, a red Audi car with registration number BD 747 EPE was flagged down by the police during a stop-and-search operation and found some goats inside it.
According to him,When policemen stopped the car, the driver refused to stop and following a hot chase, the occupants of the car jumped into a nearby bush.
Mba said Seven goats were found in the car and were later taken to Ojo Police Station,saying The goats are real goats and not human beings.
He however, said investigation into the matter had commenced and advised those whose goats were missing to visit the police station to recover them.
