A middle-aged man, Emeka Nwachukwu, was on Thursday charged before an Apapa Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos with alleged indecent assault.
Nwachukwu, is facing a two-count charge of assault and indecent assault.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kalu Umeh, told the court that the accused committed the offence on Sept. 28 at No. 21, Aduke St., Ajegunle in Lagos.
Umeh said Nwachukwu on the fateful day at about 10 p.m. assaulted his victim, forcefully stripping her naked and fondling her.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 335 and 360 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Chief Magistrate, A.K. Shonubi, admitted Nwachukwu to bail in the sum of N20, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Oct. 18.
