$3million bribery: Farouk Lawan to remain in police custody
The Chairman, House of Representatives ad hoc Committee on the investigation of the fuel subsidy regime, Farouk Lawan, has reported at the Louis Edet House, headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force, where he spent the night on interrogation.
The Deputy Force public relations officer, Frank Mba confirmed this, when the embattled lawmaker arrived the force headquarters.
Mba added that the lawmaker is currently undergoing interrogations with police investigators, he however did not specify when the interrogation will end and if the police will detain the lawmaker in their custody.
Investigation shows however that the interrogation will last late into the night and Mr Farouk will remain in the custody of the police Special Task Force.
The police Special Task Force team is said to have given the lawmaker an ultimatum to appear before it today or risk being declared wanted.
