Customs intercepts military uniforms at Lagos Airport

The Nigerian Customs Service has intercepted military uniforms imported by a yet to be identified person.

Murtala Muhammed Airport Command of the Customs,said the wears included one hundred and ninety-eight pieces of military camouflage uniform and fourty pieces of military hat.

Its Comptroller,Michael Adewole said officers of the command intercepted the consignment at the airport’s tarmac.

Adewole said the consignment was brought in through Saudi and Turkish airlines.

He said the command generated about seven billion naira between January and March this year.

The command handed over the intercepted military uniforms to a senior military officer identified as Ahmed Abdulkarim.
