FOUR DIED IN LAGOS OVER THE WEEKEND

About six persons, including a suspected armed robber, died in the last four days in different parts of Lagos State.

Police Public Relations Officer,Frank Mba said some of the deaths recorded were as a result of road accidents and fighting.

Mba said a truck with allegedly ran over a forty-three-year-old man, at Agboju Bus Stop on the same day, a tipper loaded with sand somersaulted at Igbonla Road in Epe, killing two of the loaders.

According to him,one man of Oloti Village, Ikeja was allegedly, stabbed to death by one other during a fight under yet to be determined circumstances.

Mba said the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti had commenced investigation into the alleged murder which occurred on saturday.

He said the last death was a suspected armed robber killed on sunday at Ogudu Ori-Oke, when his gang engaged the Ogudu Police Division in a gun battle after a robbery operation.

The Spokesman said all the corpses were deposited at public mortuaries for autopsy.
