Atiku pledges collaboration with FG in efforts to stop bombings.

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar says he will collaborate with the Federal Government in efforts to stop the spate of bombings in the country.

He gave the assurance in Bauchi on Saturday when he paid a courtesy call on the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Adamu, in his palace, during his campaign tour of the state.

Atiku said the recent bombings in the country had created untold hardship for the citizens, while fomenting chaos in the country.

The PDP presidential aspirant said terrorism was a new phenomenon in the country, stressing that tangible efforts should be directed at stopping it.

I also want to use this opportunity to condole with President Goodluck Jonathan on the incident and commiserate with the victims of the bomb blast,” he said.

Responding, the Emir urged politicians promote peace, while remembering that they were all citizens of Nigeria.

He thanked Atiku for the visit and wished him success in his political ambition.
