Man docked for allegedly stealing N200,000.
A 21-year-old man was on Tuesday arraigned before a Yaba Magistrates Court for allegedly stealing N200,000 and six T-shirts.
The accused, Muyideen Adebayo, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Gbeminiyi Agoi, told the court that the accused and others now at large on Jan. 2 entered the Gbagada, Lagos residence of one Sunday Ayo with intent to steal.
The prosecutor said the accused committed an offence which contravened section 390(9), 412, and 516 of Criminal Code law of Lagos State.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Olumide Fusika, granted the accused N50,000 bail with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case the till Feb. 7 for further hearing.

25 charged with attempting to commit suicide.
Twenty-five persons were on Monday arraigned before an Ebute-Meta Magistrates Court, Lagos, charged with attempting to commit suicide.
The prosecutor, Insp. Moses Uademevbo, told the court that the accused persons on Jan. 14, 2011 unlawfully sat atop a moving train from the Ebute-Meta Terminus to Ijoko in Ogun.
He said the accused persons, who were arrested at Ikeja Train Station, trespassed on the premises of the Nigeria Railway Corporation by unlawfully boarding the train to their various destinations.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Sections 327 and 460 (3) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, M.O. Olajunwo, granted each of the 25 accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned further hearing till March 1, 2011.
