CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF

Outgoing Commanding Officer urges discipline among soldiers.
The outgoing Commanding Officer, 65 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, Col. Bulama Biu, on Friday in Lagos enjoined soldiers to be disciplined in the discharge of their duties.
Biu at the regimental transfer of command to the incoming Commanding Officer, Lt.-Col. Robert Abimiku said Discipline is the bedrock of success in military professionalism.
Biu, who spent 11 months in the command, added that a disciplined soldier should show commitment and understanding, irrespective of who the leader was.
He called on the officers and men of the command to give the new commanding officer the same support and cooperation they accorded him.
In his response, Abimiku promised that he would be dedicated to his duties.
Biu has been transferred to the Nigerian Army School of Infantry, while Abimiku came from the 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Lagos.
