Okada Robber Shot.
An attempt by a three-man robbery gang on commercial motorcycle (Okada) to rob a female bank customer in front of the United Bank for Africa, UBA, Acme Road, Ogba this afternoon ended in one of the suspects being shot by a policeman attached to the bank.
The suspect was in the throes of death as at the time of filing this report. The woman who withdrew an undisclosed amount of money from the bank, was trailed by the three robbers on Okada, apparently acting on a tip-off.

One of the robbers assaulted his victim with a short rifle and attempted to snatch her money.
The intervention of the policeman, who spotted the criminals and shot at one of them, saved the victim, while the other robbers fled on their Okada.
Some bullets and charms were found on the robber, who was taken away by policemen from Area ‘G’ Police Command in their pickup van.
