Anambra assures citizens of security
Anambra State government has asked its sons and daughters resident outside the state in Nigeria or in Diaspora to feel free to return to the state for their Christmas and New Year celebrations as their security is guaranteed.
Special Adviser to the state Governor on Security Matters, Col. George Molokwu (retd.), who made the call on behalf of the government, said Anambra State was among the most secured states in the country and that every arrangement has been perfected to ensure that every security loophole was plugged.
Molokwu said all the security agencies in the state are being harnessed and were working together to ensure a crime- free celebration.
He said in the last one year or so, security situation in the state has drastically changed with the state witnessing peace and an almost crime-free environment, a situation he attributed to the seriousness Governor Peter Obi attaches to security.
Molokwu stated that those who were still afraid of coming home were those that do not have the right information about the state.
