Easter celebration: FRSC to clamp down on erring motorists.




The Federal Road Safety Corps, has said it would clamp down on motorists who broke traffic rules and regulations during the Easter holiday.
Its Lagos and Ogun Zonal Commander, Danjuma Garba said any motorist who indulged in dangerous driving, overloading, use of phone and worn-out tyres would be arrested.
Garba said festive periods were usually associated with increase in the volume of traffic leading to congestion and acts of lawlessness by motorists.
He said in the bid to meet their unrealistic targets, motorists tend to break traffic rules and regulations.
According to him, In order to achieve total safety this Easter celebration, Corps is embarking on a special patrol tagged “Operation Zero”.
Garba said Motorists and the general public are enjoined to join hands with the Corps to ensure safety on the road during this period.
