Seme NDLEA Command seizes 173.8 kg drugs.


The National Drug Law and Enforcement the Agency(NDLEA), Seme Border Command has seized a total of 173.8 kg of narcotic drugs.

NDLEA area Commander in Seme,Nicholars Ajaduruonye said at the border post that the drugs were all seized in the first quarter of 2011.

"Seme NDLEA Area Command seized a total of 173.862kg of hard drugs from January to March, 2011 and these include heroine, cannabis and amphetamine”, he said.

He said 8.82kg, 1.05kg and 160.4kg of cannabis were seized in January, February and March respectively, while 0.092kg of heroine was intercepted in February.

Ajaduruonye said a total of 13 suspects eight males and five females were arrested in connection with the seized drugs.
