63-year-old grandpa arrested with 46.7kg of cannabis A 63-year-old grandfather has been arrested by officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for allegedly peddling cannabis—aka Indian Hemp. Orji was arrested with 46.7 kg of weeds, suspected to be Indian hemp on April 5. The suspect, lives in Makoko area of Lagos Mainland but peddles Indian hemp around CMS on the Island. Similarly, a 25-year-old lady has been nabbed by NDLEA officials in Lagos for allegedly retailing Indian at Ejigbo NNPC, a Lagos suburb. According to NDLEA , the lady was arrested with 15 kg of dried weed that has tested positive to cannabis on April 5. the spokesman of the Agency, Mitchell Ofoyeju confirmed the arrests, adding that they were effected during raids on suspected hard drug outlets. Ofoyeju added that the suspects were in NDLEA detention and would be charged to court soon.
