Commission elevates 1,207 police officers
The Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of 1,207 senior police officers following the recommendation of the Inspector-General of Police.
Commission's Chief Information Officer, Ferdinand Ekpe said one Deputy Commissioner of Police Dayo Adeleke, benefited from the promotions, with his elevation to the rank of Commissioner of Police.
Three Assistant Commissioners of Police, Veronica Omofunma, Victor Onofiok and Oladejo Oyelowo, were also elevated to Deputy Commissioners of Police.
235 Deputy Superintendent of Police and 968 Assistant Superintendents of Police were elevated to the rank of Superintendent of Police and Deputy Superintendents of Police.
Chairman of the commission, Parry Osayande, has congratulated the newly promoted officers, and urged them to work toward meeting the expectation of their new ranks.
