Jang commends security agencies for maintaining law, order.


Governor Jonah Jang of Plateau State has commended security agencies for maintaining law and order in the state.


The governor, in a statement signed by James Mannok, the Director of Press and Public Affairs,in Jos, called for the sustenance of the agencies’ security patrols.


He stressed that efforts to promote peace, security and stability in the state were a collective one; urging the citizens to concertedly work toward their attainment.


The government and the security agents would continue to ensure the protection of lives and properties of all citizens in the state but we urge everyone to be vigilant,” he said.


Jang commiserated with the families of those who lost their loved ones and properties in the bomb blasts which occurred in Jos on Dec. 24.


He prayed for the quick recovery of the injured persons and urged the people of the state to forgive, love and accommodate one another as part of efforts to build a strong and virile state.


Jang wished the people Happy New Year and God’s guidance in all their endeavours, while urging them to participate fully in the forthcoming elections.
