ACTING INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE
Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has reaffirm the commitment of his administration to evolve new strategies as well as improve relationship with the public to chart a new course for law enforcement in the country.
Abubakar gave the indication today, at the decoration ceremony of the newly promoted deputy inspectors general and assistant inspector general, at the force headquarters in abuja.
The police boss while acknowledging the role and support of all nigerians to the task of policing,promised to encourage platforms that will enhance the monitoring of effective police service delivery in the country.
The acting IGP further pledge support for field officers in the performance of their responsibilities and also reward hard work,exemplary conduct and achievement.
Speaking on behalf of the promotees, DIG. Suleiman kuma,called on his colleagues to seew the promotion as a challenge to work acidiously for the progress ofg the nation of the newly decorated officers,seven were promoted to the rank of DIG while thirteen of them were promoted to the rank of AIG.
