SSS parades killers of expatriates

State Security Service (SSS) has paraded eight persons suspected to have been involved in the kidnap and eventual murder of two expatriate staff of Stabilini Visinoni Construction Company, Christopher Mcmanus, a Briton and Franco Lamolinara, an Italian.

Parading the suspects in Abuja, Doyin Adetuberu who represented the spokesperson of the service, Marilyn Ogar, commiserated with the families of the murdered expatriates and stressed that the long arm of the law will catch up with all terrorists and perpetrators of evil.

He appealed to Nigerians to remain sensitive to their environment and report suspicious activities to security agencies.

Mr. Christopher Mcmanus and Franco Lamolinara were murdered in Sokoto on the 8th of March, 2012 by persons suspected to be members of the Islamic sect, Boko haram after being held captive for over 10 months.

He also said the suspects were arrested in states across the northern region of the country “after a painstaking investigation process, the service made a number of arrests in Adamawa, Katsina, Kaduna , Sokoto and Kebbi states”.

He named the names of the arrested suspects as follows; Bashir Ibrahim a.k.a Adau, Ibrahim Habibu and Gambo mai Burodi aged between 19 and 20 years as the suspects that served as surveillance on the killed expatriates.

He accused the Abu Mohammed led faction of the Boko Haram sect as the mastermind behind the act, saying the leader of the faction died due to bullet wounds sustained during the raid in Zaria, Kaduna state.

Other suspects arrested include Mohammed Rabiu Adam a.k.a Dan Hajiya, Abubakar Abdulrahman Habibu. Shittu Salihu, Abubakar Umar and Ahmed Samaila.
