LAGOS ASSEMBLY COMMENDS SECURITY TRUST FUND, PROMISES IMPROVED SECURITY
The Chairman House Committee on Information, Strategy and Security of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Segun Olulade has promised Lagosians improved and adequate security.
The statement was made during the Committee’s courtesy visit to the Lagos State Security Trust Fund.
The lawmaker commended the Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Fola Arthur Worrey for his performance so far and urged him not to relent in his efforts towards ensuring security of lives and properties in the State.
Olulade used the occasion to call on well-meaning citizens of the State and private sector operators to support the Trust Fund through donation to assist them in the discharge of their duties.
Arthur Worrey had thanked the members of the House of Assembly for passing the motion for the Trust Fund to be set up and for the visit while urging them not to rest on their oars in the discharge of their duties.
In a related development, the Committee also visited the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps where the Committee expressed appreciation to the organization for supporting the State Government to boost security in the State.
Responding, the Deputy Commandant of the agency, Commandant Waziri Baba Goni thanked the Lawmakers for supporting security strategies through meaningful legislation and pleaded with the State Government for more recognition and support from the Government.
