Security: Lagos Police Command to deploy tracker dogs.
The Lagos State Police Command said it would soon deploy tracker dogs at event centres and social gatherings.
The command's spokesman, SP Joseph Jaiyeoba, said the measure was part of efforts to forestall planting of bombs and other explosives on such occasions.
The use of tracker dogs will help to discover bombs and other explosives that may be planted on such occasions by terrorists.
The dogs have already been deployed to Area Commands which are expected to use them in monitoring big business premises and event centres in their areas,’’he said.
