NSCDC seeks media's support to curtail activities of criminals
Aminu Kofar Soro, Sokoto State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp has solicited the support of the media in the fight against criminals in the state.
Soro said the active participation of the media in sensitising the public on their roles in community policing would assist in minimising the activities of criminals.
Soro said security matters should not be left in the hands of security agencies alone, hence the need for the media and the public to work together.
He said the command has deployed plain cloth officers on foot patrol across the state as part of intelligence strategy to curtail the activities of criminals.
The commandant urged members of the general public to assist security agencies with useful information on any suspicious character around them, for prompt action
