Police offer N10m for clues on killers of Oshiomole’s aide
The Deputy Inspector-General of police, at the force headquarters, Abuja, Mr. Peter Gana who announced the reward in Benin City said no stone will be left unturned to get the killers of mister Oyerinde.
Mr. Gana, who said that he was in Benin to complement the efforts of the state Police Command, pledged that the Force would do everything possible to unravel the perpetrators of the crime.
He also urged anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the killers to contact the police.
“We have opened three telephone lines for the public to assist in the investigations,” he said when he visited the bereaved governor at the Government House, Benin.
The Police boss gave out the following telephone numbers: 080178624253, 08158823049, 0814177026, stating that the lines would be active from 3 p.m. on Monday.
He assured the people of the state that the Police would do its best to guarantee the safety of lives.
Meanwhile the PDP in the Edo state has called on the security agencies in the state to call the governor to order as his comments blaming the opposition for the murder amounts to inciting the people against the party.
