OSUN STATE GOVERNOR, RAUF AREGBESOLA.

Aregbesola alleges N1bn destabilisation plot against his administration.

OSUN State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, has raised the alarm over an alleged plot to destabilise his fledgling administration.

He named the Peoples Democratic Party as being behind the plot.

Speaking at a reception in his honour by the Ijesa Muslim Community, Ilesa, which held at the Central Mosque, Aregbesola named the Senate President, David Mark and the Senate Committee Chairman on Appropriation, Iyiola Omisore as the brains behind the plot.

But the Senate President denied any link with the alleged plot,Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Paul Mumeh, Mark insisted he is too busy with state matters to respond to have time for any plot.

The governor had said plans are on course to use a N1 billion fund-raiser, which would feature Vice President Namadi Sambo, as the launch pad.

The governor, however, said the Vice President is being lured into a game plan he is not privy to.

He averred that the proposed N1 billion is to bribe members of the Osun State House of Assembly and the Police before carrying out the plan.

He warned that unless the planners of the destabilisation plot halt their plans, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Meanwhile, all efforts to reach Omisore and the Vice President for their comments proved futile.

Among the dignitaries who attended the reception was the Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Netherlands, Nimotallahi Akanbi.
