Vice-President Namadi Sambo

Bomb blasts: Vice President visits Jos

Vice-President Namadi Sambo is visiting Jos on Sunday over the Christmas eve bomb blasts in three different locations in the city.

Sambo is expected to touch down at the Yakubu Gowon Airport at 11am, where he will be received by his host, Governor Jonah Jang and other top government officials.

Director of Press Affairs to Jang, James Mannok said Sambo would commiserate with the government and people of the state over the incident.

Mannok said the Vice President would visit sites of the blasts as well as the patients receiving treatment in various hospitals.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday condemned the perpetrators of the acts which killed dozens of people and maimed many more.

Jang had also on Saturday in a statewide broadcast condemned the heinous act and described it as an attempt to a resurgence of the mayhem the state had experienced in the recent past.
