Man, 32, docked for dangerous driving.

A 32 year- old-river, Uche Alaribe, has appeared before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court charged with dangerous driving.

Alaribe is facing a three-count charge of dangerous driving, causing bodily harm and damage to another car.

The prosecutor, ASP. N. Sule, told the court that Alaribe on July 26 drove one Volkswagen Golf car with Reg. no. TB 249 KJA dangerously on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

He said in the process, the accused skidded off his lane and rammed into one Nissan Maxima saloon car with Reg. No. FP 525 LSR, which was coming from the opposite direction.

He said the incident damaged a Nissan Maxima and caused bodily injuries to the driver, Salimon Jamiu.

The prosecutor said the defendant committed offences contrary to and punishable under Sections 29 (1), 27 (1) and 28 (1) Cap 172 of the RTL, Laws of Lagos State.

The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

In her ruling, the magistrate, A.O. Ogunbowale, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Dec. 13 for further hearing.
