Apapa Customs Comptroller expresses commitment to improved revenue.

Comptroller of Apapa Area one Command of Nigeria Customs Service,Abdulkadir Azarema has said his major objective was improved revenue generation.

Azarema made this known in Lagos while receiving members of executive of Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria in his office.

According to him, all hands would be on deck to ensure that more revenue was generated by the command.

He said Custom had done well by increasing salaries of officers and there was the need to reciprocate the gesture through higher revenue generation.

The comptroller said the command had a revenue target of two hundred and sixteen billion naira for this year, an average of eighteen billion nair monthly.

President of the Association,Adeleye Ajayi advised the Custom to facilitate cargo examination processes to ensure the forty-eight-hour cargo clearance target was achieved.
