The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a man, who allegedly concealed a powdery substance suspected to be cocaine, in his pair of sandals.
The suspect, who is based in Spain, was caught with one kilogramme of the suspected hard drug at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja.
The substance which was concealed in his sandals was detected during a routine check on an Iberia flight at the airport
The Agency also arrested three other suspects, who ingested some hard drugs.
Its Head of Public Affairs,Mitchell Ofoyeju, said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were completed.
Meanwhile, the Chairman,Ahmadu Giade has commended the officials for the arrests, reiterating the agency’s zero tolerance for drug trafficking.
