Two unemployed men arraigned for motorcycle theft.

Two unemployed men have been arraigned at a Lagos Chief Magistrates Court on a two-count charge of felony and stealing.

Prosecutor, Sergent Joseph Ameh said the accused persons, Joe Chidi and Freedom Mfon had on June twenty-four conspired to commit the alleged crime.

Ameh said the motorcycle, was forcefully taken from its owner,Alfred Egwu, after hitting his head with a dangerous weapon.

The accused persons, however, pleaded not guilty.

The Chief Magistrate,Oluyemisi Adelaja, granted them bail in the sum of fifty thousand naira each, with two sureties in like sum.

She directed that the sureties should show evidence of tax payment,saying one of them must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction.

The case was adjourned to July twenty-six for further hearing.
