Immigration nabs traditional chief for human trafficking in Lagos.

The Nigeria Immigration Service,has paraded a suspected human trafficker and two young girls, believed to be his potential victims.

Lagos Command Comptroller,Joseph Olaitan, told newsmen that the suspect, who claimed to be a first class chief in Edo, was arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.

Olaitan said the chief, who was travelling with the girls to Turkey, was arrested at the airport at the weekend.

He reiterated the command's zero tolerance for child or human trafficking, saying adequate measures had been introduced to check such crimes.

The comptroller said an official passport, usually issued only to top government officials, was recovered from the suspected trafficker.

The trio had been handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for further investigation.
