The Police has arrested a four-member gang which specialised in stealing exotic cars.
They were arrested on June two by policemen attached to the Maroko Police Station on Victoria Island, Lagos.
Police Public Relations Officer,Frank Mba who made this known while parading the suspects said the suspects were arrested following a tip off that a Range Rover Jeep and a Honda mini Jeep were stolen through the conspiracy of the driver of the vehicles.
Mba who said the police were still on the trail of the gang’s leader said such stolen vehicles were usually given fake numbers before being disposed in other parts of the country.
He said Preliminary investigations show that the gang had contacts in Benue and Bauchi States, saying further investigations had begun.
The Spokesman urged car owners to take extra measures in securing their vehicles, saying the tracking device helped the police to recover the stolen cars.
