Twenty-three-year-old lady arraigned for brother's ten million naira fraud.

The Police in Lagos has arraigned the sister of a man, who allegedly stole ten million naira from a company.

Nkeiru Okonkwo was alleged to have received thirty thousand naira of the stolen money from her elder brother, Onyekachi Okonkwo, who is believed to be at large.

The accused, who is facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, stealing and receiving stolen money at an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrate’s Court, pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutor, Superintendent Police, Innocent Effiong told the court that the accused was arrested when the Police invaded Onyeakachi’s house to apprehend him.

Chief Magistrate, Philip Ojo granted the accused bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira with two sureties.

He said the sureties should produce evidence of tax payment for three years.

The accused, on conviction, may be sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

The case has been adjourned till July eight for further hearing.
