SALESMEN ARRAIGNED IN COURT.

Three computer salesmen and two others have been arraigned at an Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, for allegedly stealing and receiving forty-eight laptops valued at three point seven million naira.

The salesmen Olubayo Okunlola,Kingsley Ekwueme, Kingsley Ekejiuba,are charged with Collins Ogbuji and Hillary Achebe.

Prosecutor,Inspector Eshiet Eshiet, told the court that Okunlola, Ekwueme and Ekejiuba were sales representatives to a computer company, Westgate Technologies Limited, Ikeja, Lagos.

Eshiet said the salesmen conspired to steal various brands of laptops at different occasions from the company’s warehouse.

He said Ogbuji and Achebe received the stolen items from the sales representatives, knowing that the laptops were stolen.

Prosecutor told Chief Magistrate Oyindamola Ogala that the incident took place between January and June this year at the Computer Village, Ikeja.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge.

Ogala granted the salesmen bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira with two sureties in like sum each and the others two hundred and fifty thousand naira with two sureties in like sum each.

She adjourned the case till July nineteen for further hearing.
