Federal Government urges police to adopt modern best practices in policing.

Minister of Police Affairs,Adamu Waziri has urged the Nigeria Police Force to adopt best global practice in the performance of its duties.

Adamu, who made the appeal while inaugurating forty-two operational vehicles for the police at the Force Headquarters, said modern policing was not about the kill and go syndrome.

The minister said Government provided the vehicles to enable the police to respond rapidly to emergencies and maintain law and order in the country.

Inspector-General of Police,Ogbonna Onovo said most of the vehicles would be deployed to a special unit of the force set up in Jos.

The vehicles included fifteen troops carriers,eighteen Hilux trucks and nine water tankers.
