A forty-three-year-old engineer has urged a Grade A Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his nine-year-old marriage because his wife refused to return from the United States.
Vincent Chiedu prayed the Shomolu court to dissolve his marriage with Nnenna Chiedu who,he claimed, abandoned her matrimonial home.
Vincent’s counsel, Vincent Orizu, told the court that Nnenna was aware of the divorce suit.
The Court President,Modupe Bajulaiye, ruled that the respondent had failed to honour the court in spite of court summons.
She adjourned the case till June eighteen for judgment.
