A fifty-two-year-old driver, Busari Yusufu,has been arraigned for stealing a truck loaded with six hundred bags of rice.
Yusufu is standing trial before an Igbosere Magistrate’s Court in Lagos along with his accomplices, Sanni Mohammed and Mekudi Sule on a three-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
Prosecutor,Sergent Stephen Mono said the accused committed the offence with others now at large at the Apapa Wharf in Lagos.
All the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges when it was read to them.
Magistrate,Abolaji Sonuga admitted each accused to bail in the sum of five million naira with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case till July nine for further hearing.
