Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps officers will soon be equipped with arms to enhance their service delivery.
Assistant Commandant-General, Zone `E’ Command, Idris Haruna made the statement during the passing-out parade of new recruits.
Haruna advised the new corps members to emulate their senior officers by discharging their duties efficiently.
He also said more senior officers would soon be recruited.
The Assistant Commandant-General, however, noted that the challenges facing the corps included the dearth of logistics, communications equipment, funds and vehicles.
