A Magistrate's Court in Ebute Meta, Lagos, has ordered a commercial tricycle driver, Ebenezer Thomas to be remanded in prison custody for allegedly killing his co-tenant over misunderstanding.
Magistrate, Folashade Kayode ordered the accused to be locked up till July thirty, pending the advice of the State Director of Public Prosecutions.
The court did not take Thomas’ plea on the one-count charge because it lacked jurisdiction in murder cases.
Prosecutor, Inspector Nicholas Atunmoye, told the court that the accused had an undisclosed misunderstanding with a co-tenant, Adesoji Ojo.
