A twenty-two-year-old housekeeper, John Sonon, has been charged before an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly stealing property valued at six point seven million naira.
Charged with a three-count offence of conspiracy, burglary and stealing, the accused pleaded not guilty.
But the Prosecutor,Inspector Nicholas Atunmoye told the court that the accused stole a Nigerian International Passport with multiple visas, wrist watches and jewelries valued at six point seven million naira.
He alleged that the accused broke into the room of his master,Gary Ogbeide to steal the items.
The accused, Atunmoye said, committed the offence with others still at large sometimes in May at Kosofe Street, Dolphine Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Magistrate,Folashade Kayode admitted the accused to bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira with two sureties and adjourned the case to July twenty-eight for further hearing.
