Two men who claimed to be telecommunications experts, have been docked at a Yaba Chief Magistrate’s Court in Lagos for allegedly defrauding a prospective businessman of thirteen point seven million naira.
The accused, Igho Mrakpor and Odukoya Olayinka are facing a seven-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, fraud, forgery and issuing of dud cheques, before Chief Magistrate, A. A. Demi-Ajayi.
Prosecutor, Sergent Chinalu Uwadione, told the court that the accused collected by installment, the money under the pretext of providing one Odufuye Bamidele with internet facilities.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and were each granted bail in the sum of five hundred thousand naira with two sureties each in like sum.
Demi-Ajayi adjourned the case till June thirty for further hearing.
