Three employees of United Bank for Africa Plc, among them two women, have been docked in Lagos for allegedly defrauding a customer.
The trio, Chude Chidinma,Oladapo Omogbehin, and Oluwakemi Nwauzo were said to have defrauded Sergent Martins Omosefe of two hundred and twenty-three thousand, seven hundred and sixty.
The accused are facing a four-count charge of conspiracy, impersonation and stealing before Kemi Doja-Ojo of an Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Phillip Ugbodu, told the court that the accused were employees of the Ilupeju branch of the bank.
If the accused are convicted they risk seven years imprisonment.
They however, pleaded not guilty to the charges and were each granted bail in the sum of fifty thousand naira.
Doja-Ojo adjourned the case till July nineteen for further hearing.
