The police in Lagos has arraigned a twenty-one-year-old unemployed man, Chima Ohire, for allegedly stabbing a girl of the same age with a broken bottle.
Ohire, who was charged with assault before a Surulere Magistrate’s Court, pleaded not guilty to the one-count charge.
Prosecutor, Inspector Olaide Sunday, submitted that the accused stabbed his neighbour, Chinwendu Nlembedim, during a misunderstanding on April twenty three.
Magistrate Abiola Soladoye granted bail to the accused in the sum of one hundred thousand naira with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case till July seven for further hearing.
