The Lagos State Special Taskforce on Environmental and other Related Offences has arrested forty-eight suspected miscreants and five under-age girls at Oshodi, Lagos.
Its Chairman,Superintendent of Police Bayo Sulaimon said the suspects were arrested following raids carried out at night on June six and seven.
Sulaimon said the minors, who were between twelve and sixteen years, were alleged to have been used by criminals in the area.
According to him, weeds suspected to be Indian hemp was recovered from them.
He said the raids were part of government's efforts to maintain the sanity being restored to Oshodi and its environs.
The Taskforce Boss who reiterated government's commitment to rid the state of miscreants and make the metropolis a safe place to live in,said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
