EFCC arrests Adamu, to grant him administrative bail.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said in Abuja on Wednesday that the arrest of former FIFA Executive Committee member, Amos Adamu, was part of its investigations into the scandal that led to his suspension from the world soccer body.

EFCC spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the former FIFA executive committee member would be granted bail once he provided his passport.

Babafemi also said the commission would charge the former FIFA executive committee member to court when investigations were concluded.

Adamu, who had earlier visited the House of Representatives Committee on Sports to absolve himself of the allegation of corruption, was suspended by FIFA in November for three years.

The EFCC had in the wake of his suspension vowed to follow up the matter to a logical conclusion.
