The Nigeria Police Force on Friday reiterated its earlier directive prohibiting the mounting of roadblocks on the nations highways.
Shola Amore, the Force Police Public Relations Officer said in Lagos that the order of the Inspector General of Police on roadblocks was still in force.
Amore, who was reacting to complaints of heavy traffic jam on some major highways allegedly caused by police roadblocks, said “No policeman is asked to block the road.

Security Summit holds in Lagos.
National Security Adviser is to hold a One-Day summit on security and risk management in Lagos on Jan. 13, 2011.
The summit, scheduled to hold at Eko Hotel and Suites, is to engage the organized private sector and professionals on the security challenges of doing business in Nigeria.
It would also afford participants the opportunity to know measures being put in place by President Goodluck Jonathan to ensure security of lives, property and investment to enhance economic development.
The Forum is also expected to provide a platform to reassess issues of Power sector, corruption as well as free and fair elections.
The Summit, being coordinated by J.K Randle Professional Services, would also dwell on safety on land, air and sea.
