Many commuters in Lagos were stranded on Thursday at Oshodi as a taskforce set up by the state government impounded about 30 commercial buses over alleged indiscriminate parking.
The taskforce impounded the buses, chained them together and was towing them in a long slow line.
The impounded vehicles were taken to the state Ministry of Transportation, Alausa, Ikeja.
This scared away other commercial buses, leaving commuters stranded for hours.
Owners of the impounded vehicles would each pay N25,000 fine before his vehicle would be released by the taskforce.
Efforts to speak with the police officer who led the taskforce were Fruitless.
