The police in Lagos have arrested a 25-year-old man who claimed to be a pastor for allegedly having homosexual relationship with some youths.
The youths, aged 18 and 19, were present at the office of the Lagos State Police Spokesman, Frank Mba, when the suspect was being paraded before journalists.
Mba told journalists that the suspect had been under going investigation since Sept. 23, when he was arrested in Ijora Badiya area of Lagos.
He said the suspect claimed he had just been ordained as Pastor by the Christ Apostolic Church, Ijora-Badiya after his seminary education at Supreme International Theological School, Sari-Iganmu, Lagos.
According to the police spokesman, the suspect also claimed he met the young men at Orile-Iganmu, in February 2010.
The suspect claimed he was teaching the boys some subjects before he began to have unnatural sex with them since March before the secret was revealed, Mba said.
He said the victims claimed the suspect threatened them with death if they revealed the secret to anyone, adding that some of the young men, who could not keep the secret, told their relations.
The suspect, however, confessed to the crime, saying that he did it because he never had a girl-friend and did not know how to approach a woman, Mba said.
The police spokesman said that the pastor will be charge to court for having unnatural sexual act with same sex.
