The Police in Lagos on Tuesday arraigned a commercial driver before a Surulere Magistrate Court on two-count charge of reckless driving and damage to property.
The prosecutor, PC Samuel Ishola, told the court that Aderemi Ogunleye, 30, on Aug. 14 this year, drove recklessly in Ojuelegba area and damaged a Volkswagen bus and a Toyota Corolla car.
The Toyota Corolla, with registration number FH 200 LSR, belongs to the Divisional Police Officer in Surulere, Dara Ogunlana.
The offence contravene Sections 29 and 44(11) of the Lagos State Road Transport Act , the prosecutor said.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, A. Tobi granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 and adjourned to Sept. 29.
